Stockton Crime Prevention Panel has set up the Safe At Home Scheme.
As part of the scheme, qualified crime prevention officers visit victims and put security measures in place to make people’s homes more secure. In return, this allows victims to remain and feel safe in their own home.
The Panel has applied for funding to buy equipment such as security lighting, security hardware and CCTV devices.
It also wants to improve door security on highlighted, vulnerable properties to prevent them from becoming repeat victims.
