Trans Aware is a charity that operates in Cleveland providing awareness training sessions and workshops.
It provides training to organisations, community and faith groups to raise awareness and understanding towards Transgender and Non-Binary people.
The charity have requested funding from the PCC to deliver 40 awareness sessions to young people aged 16-17 during their National Citizen Service in August 2017.
Funding has also been requested for Trans Aware to deliver an extra 20 sessions for community groups and faith organisations.
This project supports the PCCs objectives of Working Together to Make Cleveland Safer and Securing the Future of our Communities.
