Mrs Oldroyd said: “I am delighted to have been given this opportunity and that my years of skills and experience have been recognised.

Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland Steve Turner said: “I am pleased to continue working with Lisa, who brings with her a wealth of relevant experience in policing and community safety.
“Her leadership over the last 12 months has provided much-needed stability for the OPCC team and her appointment as Chief Executive ensures this momentum continues in achieving my plan objectives.
“Since taking up office in May, Lisa has helped me immeasurably in settling into my role and supporting me in developing my new Police and Crime Plan.”
